Brownell Mack is a life-long resident of Minneapolis. He is a psychologist by profession and currently practices independently at the Associated Clinic of Psychology in Minneapolis. He also serves as the Associated Clinic of Psychology's Director of Clinical Operations. Brownell has previously held leadership positions in the human services field, most recently as the Assistant Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Human Services' Direct Care and Treatment Administration. In 2011, Brownell was inducted into Minneapolis South High School's Wall of Honor, recognizing his academic and athletic achievements as a student and his post-graduation career. Brownell remains active in tennis, participating in local tournaments and leagues. He credits involvement in tennis as a factor that contributed greatly to his educational and vocational development and is committed to helping children experience the many benefits offered by the sport.
