A leading figure in the marketing industry, Skip started his career at Carlson Companies, ultimately becoming CEO. He left in 1991 to form his own marketing firm. He led Minneapolis-based Gage Marketing Group, which provides integrated marketing communications, promotion and direct marketing services to a number of Fortune 500 firms. In 1998, Gage Marketing Group sold its rapidly growing marketing fulfillment business in order to increase its capital base for its agency businesses. In 2008, he helped start Magnet 360. Aside from his ICT involvement, Skip was civic leader in the Twin Cities, serving actively with numerous other nonprofit organizations as well as on public company boards.
