Rick is an attorney who, prior to his retirement, was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Metris Companies, Inc. and Green Tree Financial Corporation. Prior to that he was a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota. Rick has served as legal advisor to, and director of, numerous public companies, financial institutions, foundations and charitable organizations.
During 2018, Rick served as Executive Director of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority. The MSFA is the state agency that owns and operates U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Rick received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) and his law degree from the College of William & Mary (Williamsburg, VA). Rick is a lifelong tennis player. He and his wife, Karen, live in Medina, MN.
