Whether it’s on or off the court, we are often harder on ourselves than we need to be. Thinking positively about ourselves wins half the battle. Remind yourself that you are a sum of your whole past, not just the forehand winner you shanked into last night’s league match or the deadline you missed at work last week.
If you shoot for perfection, imperfection will devastate you. But if you welcome imperfection with open arms, you will learn to play (and live) fearlessly.
